Event Details
[Title] "Research on Stemness Focused on the Cancer Gene MYC"
[Speaker] Associate Professor Tomoaki Hishida (Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Wakayama Medical University)
It is known that the cancer gene Myc plays an important role not only in oncogenesis but also in the regulation of stemness.
Associate Professor Hishida and his colleagues have been conducting research on the role of Myc in the regulation of stemness, following their discovery that Myc plays a crucial role in both the self-renewal capacity and pluripotency of embryonic stem cells.
In recent years, they have also achieved results in reversing the aging clock (revival) and enhancing tissue regeneration by utilizing reprogramming techniques. In this presentation, Associate Professor Hishida will share both past findings and recent insights related to stemness, with a particular focus on Myc.
We look forward to your participation.
