On October 15, Kanazawa University students visited Yanagida Elementary School in Noto Town (78 students) and Ukawa Elementary School in Noto Town (37 students) to hold the "Let’s Create Together! Music Festival," a  collaborative music exchange program.

A total of 10 participants from Kanazawa University took part in the event, including three second-year, one third-year, and two fourth-year students from the Music Group of the School of Teacher Education, College of Human and Social Sciences; one first-year and one second-year student from the Division of Regional Development Studies, Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies; and two faculty members from the Faculty of Education, Institute of Human and Social Sciences.

This subject group has been conducting music exchange activities as an educational support program in Noto since 2024 academic year. The students have practiced many times through trial and error, discussing what kind of music would be appreciated, what kind of instruments would be interesting, and how to talk to the students to make the event run smoothly.

The program included performances on trumpet, cajon, double bass, glockenspiel, toy piano, do-re-mi-pipe, and other instruments rarely seen, quizzes to guess the names of songs, and chorus singing. The children sang energetically, were amazed at the unfamiliar instruments, shared their impressions, and actively participated in the program.
